Most of my clients are under the age of 10, and each and everyone of them have their own personalities. Some are quiet and reserved. Some are outgoing. Some are just plain hungry. Each has their own individual way about them. Photographing children may not always be easy, but it is always a joy!

Many factors go into a family photo shoot. I always schedule out enough time knowing the little ones may need a little more time to cooperate. I am a mother first, so I get it. Things may not always go as planned. I always try and be prepared for the unforeseen obstacles that come with photographing children. Maybe they are not into it. Maybe a growth spurt is upon us and that extra feeding needs to happen. Maybe there is a melt down for no other reason than a one hour nap happened when maybe an extra half hour was needed. Things happen!

So, to the parents of the distracted child, the hyper child, the extra feeding child, the gassy child, the "I don't want to do this" child, the emotional child, the "I am only cooperating because I was bribed with treats" child, of the tired child, I know about the "what ifs" and "maybes" of life. I have patience, it's only a moment, I am prepared.

"Parenting is the easiest thing in the world to have an opinion about but the hardest thing in the world to do."
